So for the past few weeks I've been visiting Argentina (I have relatives living there), and I've seen some pretty crazy things. Video games, for example, are immensely expensive, I saw assassin's creed 2 for 450 pesos (150 US$).
But the oddest thing I saw was an Argentinian video game system called the "iPlay" (apple-related?). It's basically a Wii-rip off, right down to the console shape (tilted blue box with a blue line), the controller design (remote-like), and the inclusion of sports minigames with it. Except that it's 16-bit. Meh. (unfortunately, I can't find a picture on the internet. I'd show you if I could, though)
One interesting thing I saw though, is that Sega-genesises are still in stock in many stores and are cheap - 50 US dollars. Maybe I'll pick one up if I ever visit again.

(Slightly unrelated) Actually, I just found(and purchased) a fully-sealed Sega Genesis at a Goodwill Store. I only have NFL '94, but I thought it was hilariously awesome.
Plus I know what you're talking about. I think they're stocked at Walgreen's here in the mystical Nebraska-land. I'll take a picture if there's still one there when I'm downtown.
