Yeah, they do eat time up quickly. It was Free RPG Day today, so I got some new Dungeons and Dragons material. (DARK SUN! It's basically a Dune-style setting where mages rule over a desert world.) The only problem is finding people with the attention span to play with you. I failed and found the next-best thing: People who want to eat pizza and have some cash to contribute to that cause, and don't mind rolling a few dice when need be. It's quite a bit more immersible than video games in the similarly-named genre. Plus, with all the unpainted miniatures that companies sell in bulk, there's profit to be had if you paint them well enough. Sweet. XD Heh. Tabletop games are great, though I've only played part of one campaign... we're trying to get a weekly game time for DnD / SW d20 set up for our ring of peeps at Uni next year, though. Awesome. I love hearing about these. I'm probably the world's biggest RPG fan who doesn't actually play RPGs. I read Order of the Stick and Darths & Droids avidly. Man, how do you always read my mind like that? Are you me from another universe? IN DISGUISE!?!?! Indeed. SO I HERD YOU LIKE NEW COMICZ 444: Authors on the Other SideL'enjoy! [/badfrench]

MC IS UNDER FIRE! HE'S SENDING AN EMERGENCY DIRECTIVE! JOIN IN THE FIGHT! Sorry this one took so long, guys. I think a large part of it was simply getting used to my new computer, which is quite marvelous in many ways, but has a few quirks I'm still learning to navigate around, especially in regards to the new version of MS Paint, which has added plenty of new features but taken some of my favorites away. Also, long comic. So I poked and plodded along until finally this one was complete. Enjoy! 445: TrogdoriginSee you soon! ~MC

Wow. I have to say, I was genuinely surprised at your choice of base sprites for Strong Bad. I would've expected something like The Peoples' Sprites's MM7 Strong Bad(If you want to check that out, the whopping two poses are here: www.panelmonkey.org/sprite.php?id=1118&theme=3 ) but Superstar Saga's style would probably work a lot better as it's more expressive. Hmm.. Does Trogdor just view his creator as a little kid would view their parents as infallible, or did it take some convincing on Strong Bad's part?

So Strong Bad inspired Trogdor to conquer worlds? This explains his incompetence

Hah! I've been waiting for some integration of the H*R 'verse ever since Troggie's initial summoning. Thus, by extension, I kinda called something similar to this happening about 400 comix ago.
Also, this is the logical conclusion of Strong Bad's portrayal of himself. And it is, in fact, quite humorous.

After too long a time, I am back! Ooh. I didn't even know The People's Sprites had a Strong Bad sprite. (Their Trogdor is more accurate than mine, I notice, but mine has personal value. ) But I do think SuperStar Saga style works best. Especially because I think of SB as three feet tall. Funnily enough, though many sprite comic authors think of MM7 as the style to emulate, I've never quite thought that way. I throw things together and see what works. I do think I have a coherent style that manifests from the hodgepodge, but I wouldn't force it to conform to one particular game, if that makes sense. Definitely the first one. SB is the closest thing Trogdor has to a real father figure. XD What a role for him to fill, eh? So Strong Bad inspired Trogdor to conquer worlds? This explains his incompetence It really does, doesn't it? He wound up with a teacher who gave him plenty of ambition but not really any useful skills. Hah! I've been waiting for some integration of the H*R 'verse ever since Troggie's initial summoning. Thus, by extension, I kinda called something similar to this happening about 400 comix ago. Superb. When did you first start reading Reporterz? Was it as long ago as all that? Wow. Ah, memories. All y'alls are too young to remember the three or four people who were around earlier than Blivsey. Gamer C, I remember. Who else was there? Psycho Lugia migraated over from WP's thread, briefly. And there was WP himself, of course, along with Outlaw and Gundam Remake. Indeed. It's an interesting thing to play with, because it's never as directly addressed in Homestar Runner itself. New comic? New comic! 446: Enter the WrestlemanThis really is turning out to be a great storyline. I had to sort out some major difficulties in planning it, but the results seem quite good so far. Now if I could only pick up the pace... Onward! ~MC

YES. I do believe that Ali and Ali's sister were a stroke of genius, there. Well-played, sir. But the question remains, which one is Ali and which one is Ali's sister? Or is Ali's sister also named Ali? Hmm....
Also, I do believe that the text bubbles are mis-arranged in the second-to-last panel. SB is speaking for one of the Alis and vice-versa.

Oh, snap. Who's that? It's me, so freaky, no pare, sigue, sigue... Has anyone seen the accelerometer on this Mastercougar!?!? YES. I do believe that Ali and Ali's sister were a stroke of genius, there. Well-played, sir. But the question remains, which one is Ali and which one is Ali's sister? Or is Ali's sister also named Ali? Hmm.... I'm so glad to hear that. It took a lot of wrangling to pull off, but this is an idea I've had since I first conceived of this storyline. I'm thrilled we've arrived at this point. You will have your answer momentarily. Thanks! Tis' fixed. Sometimes I think I do those textbubbles in a trance or something. Without further ado, here is your... I was thinking that their appearances wouldn't be too obvious. There are weaboos/people around that dye their hair bright colors (and it could at least be mostly hidden under a hat), and Link would just look like a cosplayer or someone from a renaissance fair. Kyo's the biggest problem by far: his fins are still gonna stick out, though, even with a coat. I would have suggested heavy clothing and then a backpack. The fins would protrude through one side of the pack and not the other, ruining the backpack but leaving everybody else none the wiser. He also looks to have very bluish skin, which would either be supernatural or a huge health concern. Almost might be better to send him back, then re-summon him when they arrived. Wait... why can't we do that, again?
That reminds me: It's a great coincidence that so many potent authors live close enough to all gather at MC's place without . And apparently they don't have enough vehicles between them to transport themselves out of the mass public eye. But that's nitpicking. The important thing is:
DENVER NATIONAL AIRPORT. We have now found the general area of residence of the Master Cougar! Come forth, willing minions! Tonight, we strike the area! WAhAHAhahaWHAHAHA!!!

If I ever go to Denver I'm going to keep an eye out for every photographic background you used and use them to trace your house down. Then I will knock on your door and make Trogdor noises(Whatever a Trogdor noise is).
Also, While passing them off as weaboos wouldn't really work. Kyo just needs a coat and they can get a cheap T-shirt and jeans at a mall or thrift shop for $10 to put on Link. Or they could try and be reverse sneak. Gabby and Ty are reporters, they could be pretending to be reporting on Link and blow him up to celebrity status, then when they pass through they'll stick out so much they'll be ignored.

Why wouldn't passing them off as weaboos work? It's only slightly different than the "punk" angle that he's taking. But they established that Link has spare, "normal" clothes elsewhere and yous solution of the coat doesn't help the huge fins protruding out the back, unless you want to pass him off as a hunchback. I like your idea of the combination of Bavarian fire drill and refuge in audacity, though. That could have worked in another version of the script. Oh, and for Trogdor noises, go play "8-bit is Forever". Those games are awesome, but that's for another thread.

Man, I love the discussion going on here! I have quite a few musings on the subject: I considered passing Link, at least, off as a cosplayer, but then I figured it would be easier (and perhaps more fun for me) to show him in casual clothing. I hadn't actually heard of weaboos before, but it might come in handy as an alternative excuse for Gabby and Kyo. I like the idea of a backpack for Kyo; I can't believe I didn't think of that myself. (Although security might want to search it.) I think a coat could work just as well, though, given two factors: the size of the coat and the size of Kyo's fins. I imagine the coat as the biggest, puffiest thing you could wear, and Kyo's fins might actually be fairly small. They do look quite large on the sprite, but things are often exaggerated in my style, as I'm sure you've noticed. You're probably right that it would be easiest just to un-summon and re-summon Kyo. MC would probably advise against it, though, because Kyo's loyalties are so compromised right now. He still hungers to go off and search for Eliza (whatever MC says), and leaving him alone in another universe for too long would probably problems, incuding worse friction between him and MC. (Especially because the Dimensi-Ball would send him back to Eliza's universe. Ouch!) Most of these Authors actually don't live nearby. They teleported here with Illie's help, remember? Outlaw was said to be staying in the area for some reason, but the rest of them live in other states. Which explains why we're taking a bus. All we've got is one car: my five-seater Lumina. Yes, in another version of the script, Bavarian Fire Drill of Audacity might have been the perfect strategy. Possibly it may still have its uses. And I must say it's awesome to have another TVTropes fan around! I love that site, especially because of its guiding philosophies. Tropes Are Not Bad, and Everything is Notable. There's a place for everyone on that site, anime fans, gamers, Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans, even wrestling fans, all informing the world about their favorite works and ideas. I have a suspicion that it is secretly what the Internet was invented for. I have so much love for the SBCG4AP series as well, especially 8-Bit Is Enough. (A loose explanation for that game in the context of Reporterz is eventually forthcoming.) And, of course... DENVER NATIONAL AIRPORT. We have now found the general area of residence of the Master Cougar! Come forth, willing minions! Tonight, we strike the area! WAhAHAhahaWHAHAHA!!! *ahem* If I ever go to Denver I'm going to keep an eye out for every photographic background you used and use them to trace your house down.
